Co-Director, Synergy Kinetic Academy, Los Angeles
She is a science and mathematics teacher, as well as Co-Director of the Synergy Kinetic Academy in Los Angeles. She holds a B.A. in Biology,
an M.S. in Cell Biology and an Ed.D. in Learning and Instruction. In over twenty years of teaching
experience she has earned numerous awards including the Tandy Technology Scholars Outstanding
Teacher Award, a DuPont Challenge Certificate of Merit, an ExploraVision Certificate of Merit, and
inclusion in the University of San Diego's Outstanding Teacher Recognition Program.
Shannon has been a member of Cal TAC since 2005, and was named Vice Chair in 2009.

You never know where it will lead you. It continues to be one great
adventure, with the teacher being both teacher and learner. Working with the
e-mentor program has provided me with an opportunity to work closely with
new teachers in their 1st and 2nd year of teaching. Together we seek ways to
strengthen their teaching in areas such as classroom management, lab
writeups, and using alternative materials, such as scientific articles. I
have the best of both worlds. I work with students and novice teachers."
